There is no more notorious gangster in American lore than one, Alphonse Gabriel Capone. Or more commonly known as Al Capone. Even though he died in 1947 at the age of 48, we are still enamored with this villainous character today. DeNiro has played him in The Untouchables. He’s even appeared as a character on HBO’s Boardwalk Empire. But now you can own a piece of Al Capone history.

Today is possible the most memorable day of real estate discovery in history. It’s Columbus Day of course. The Nina, the Pinta and the Santa Maria are being bantered about in every 3rd grade class this week, but while elementary students reflect on this greatest of real estate moments let’s look at some headlines in today’s current real estate environment:
A Trend in Zombie Proof Real Estate
It’s almost Halloween and if you haven’t already you’ll start seeing more and more Halloween-related stories popping up, but this one caught my attention. You may recall a few months ago I blogged about a zombie proof house that was recently built to protect you against the impending zombie apocalypse. It is a beautiful home but also has the safety and security you need to shield you from the hunger of the undead. Today I discovered that building and shelter maker, Rocket Steel Buildings in Pennsylvania, is taking this concept to a new level by marketing their company as builder of Zombie Proof Buildings.
