As you struggle with which 5 seed will lose to a 12 (it’s UNLV losing to Cal…trust me Allen Crabbe is a stud), we wanted to share with you our annual Coldwell Banker Bracket of Affordability. Each year we fill out the NCAA Tournament bracket using the median sales price of homes in the towns of each school that’s part of the tournament field.

So according to median sales price on coldwellbanker.com it looks as if the Spartans of Michigan State are our pick to win it all. Not an outrageous pick if you ask me as Tom Izzo always has his teams ready to play in March. The Spartans of Lansing, MI were able to beat out the Syracuse Orangemen of Syracuse, NY by a median sales price of $62,000 to $75,000. Rounding out the Final Four is Notre Dame of South Bend, IN ($76,724) and the surprise Cinderella, Western Kentucky of Bowling Green, KY ($76,000).

The most expensive college is St. Mary’s from Moraga, CA which had a median sales price of $900,000. The most expensive conference? The PAC-12 thanks to the likes of UCLA, Cal (Berkley), and Colorado (Boulder).

We’ll keep tabs on how well our bracket performs throughout the course of the NCAA Tournament and compare it to my personal bracket where I actually have Indiana winning it all.
