The Golden Globes are considered to be Hollywood’s ultimate awards show where the stars mingle in a setting not often seen by those from the outside. But before the Golden Globes resided at the Beverly Hills Hilton there was another home to some of Hollywood’s elite. A home owned by the one and only Frank Sinatra.

If ever there was a home that had stories to tell, this is the one. Simply known as “Farralone” this amazing estate was once famously owned by Frank Sinatra and is currently listed by Coldwell Banker agent, Lynn Teschner, for $12 million.

The 10,000 square foot residence was owned by Sinatra in the heart of his Rat Pack years and boasts more parties and celebrity visits than almost any other home you’ll come across. It’s rumored that this is where John F. Kennedy met Marilyn Monroe. Sinatra would also known for shooting off fireworks in the backyard to signal to his neighbors that it was time for happy hour.

Aside from the amazing history of the home, the residence is truly a magnificent piece of architecture with 16 feet walls of glass curtains, a 50 ft. swimming pool in the back and a 1,000 sq. ft. guest house with its own private pool. Farralone sits on 14 acres of land that includes a vineyard and parking for up to 200 cars.

Marilyn Monroe resided in the guest house for years and Sinatra’s other celebrity guests who celebrated in style at the estate were Lucille Ball and Ava Gardener. Judy Garland and Vincent Minnelli also renewed their vows at the property.

Today, the iconic property is known to millions around the world because of it being featured in a vareity of award winning TV shows and movies including:

  • Mad Men – the Palm Springs House from the EMMY winning series
  • Dreamgirls – house where Jamie Foxx, Beyonce, and Jennifer Hudson were filmed
  • Swordfish – where the famous Halle Berry pool scene was shot
  • Bewitched – the home of Nicole Kidman’s and Will Ferrell’s characters
  • Ali – home seen in the film where Will Smith played the title boxer
  • Sean Combs was filmed here for his recent ad campaign with Ciroq vodka
  • More famous faces who have been filmed and photographed at the property include: Mariah Carey, Fergie, and Reese Witherspoon.
