Everyone is buzzing about the Royal Wedding – it’s hard not to miss all the news and rumors circulating around Kate Middleton and Prince William’s upcoming nuptials. According to a recent report, the Royal couple will be sharing a suite at Clarence House with Harry after returning from their honeymoon, because they haven’t yet decided on where they want to live.

Now, as a romantic, I can’t wait to see photos from the wedding. But as a real estate broker, the first thing that springs to my mind is … let’s find this couple a home!

I came across a listing on ColdwellBanker.com that’s certainly fit for Royalty: an estate called Versailles, which is described as “the largest modern day palace under construction in America.” This 90,000 square foot palace located on 10 + acres in Windermere, FL is priced at $100,000,000. Let me tell you, the specs for this home are unbelievable. Designed to mimic the royal residence of Louis XIV of the 17th century, the residence features a large boat house, formal gardens, a one-story gatehouse with baseball field, two tennis courts, 10 satellite kitchens, a two story wine cellar, a fitness center with spa facilities, a two lane bowling alley, an indoor roller rink, a video arcade, a children’s wing, a movie theatre, an activity and game room and a 12 foot two sided aquarium. Talk about a home fit for a king and queen!

If the Versailles doesn’t fit their fancy, we tracked down a variety of homes on ColdwellBanker.com that pay homage to the British Monarchy:

  • 289 homes with the name “Windsor” in the listing
  • 59 homes with “Prince” and 101 homes with “Princess” in the description
  • 23 listings with “Wales”
  • 51 listings with “Buckingham” and 71 listings with “Palace”
  • 146 homes with rose gardens to make them feel like they’re back at Windsor Castle

Where do you think the Prince and his Princess should live? I would love to hear your suggestions from our side of the pond!
