Home of the Brave Week on the Coldwell Banker Blog

July 4th, 1776 was the official start of a new home for Americans. We broke free of England’s control and formed a new homeland. 237 years later the significance of this celebration is not lost on those who still call our great nation home.

While many of us enjoy our backyards, decks, pools or travel to homes of friends and families, we wanted to take a look at some of the places those that have molded and shaped the United States of America called their home. Throughout this week we’ll look at the homes of Abraham Lincoln, George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Ben Franklin and more. We’ll also see how home was an element in the most patriotic of American songs and also look at some significant historical homes you might not have been aware of.

We hope you enjoy some getaway time during your July 4th week and hope you’ll stop in to look at some of the homes that helped shape our country for generations to come and make the USA “the land of the free and the home of the brave.”

Great post David! May I use this “home of the brave” photo as my cover photo on my websites? It popped up in a google search and I could not find it on Xpress docs, so I figured I’d ask you!
