5 Reasons to Live on the Venetian Islands

Why the chain of man-made islands linking Miami Beach to mainland Miami is a highly exclusive place to live and is becoming increasingly more coveted.

The Venetian Islands are a highly exclusive place to live and are becoming increasingly more coveted. Below are five reasons why you should consider moving into the extraordinary neighborhood:

Reason #1: The breathtaking views- As a chain of man-made islands linking Miami Beach to mainland Miami, the Venetian Islands are surrounded by Biscayne Bay on all sides. Whether your home faces north, south, east, or west, you have breathtaking water, city, or other island views in the distance. To the north, you have stunning open bay views with Edgewater and Morningside to the west and the beautiful Sunset Islands and Miami Beach to the east. If your home faces south, you see the gorgeous Palm and Hibiscus Islands, South Beach to the east, the Downtown Miami skyline to the west. Additionally, you may even get to enjoy watching the iconic cruise ships leaving the Port of Miami. Whether you live in a luxurious house or a high-end condo, from the Venetian Islands you will get to appreciate the wonderful views from all angles.

Reason #2: The proximity to mainland Miami- One of the major perks of living on the Venetians is the convenience of having the Venetian Causeway right down the road. This set of bridges not only connects the six Venetian Islands together, it connects Miami to Miami Beach. Often much less trafficked than the MacArthur and Julia Tuttle Causeways, the Venetian Causeway make getting from the Beach to the mainland much easier. Living right off the causeway greatly reduces driving times and the stress of sitting in traffic. In fact, the scenic route of the Venetian Causeway is so pleasant that it will make your daily commute or periodic drives very enjoyable. Best of all, residents of the Venetian Islands don’t have to pay the toll that helps maintain the bridges and deters some drivers from using them!

Reason #3: The Standard Hotel– Having the Standard Hotel at your figurative doorstep is a real privilege. The chic, retro-style Standard Hotel is not only available to hotel guests, but is open to the public and members as well. While guests and members do have some added benefits, such as complimentary use of the spa and pool, anyone can have a delicious meal or cocktail at the lovely Lido Bayside Grill. Plus, for $75 / 150 (weekday / weekend), anyone can have access to the pool and amenities at The Standard Spa all day long. The decadent spa features a Turkish hamam, Finnish sauna, aroma steam room, arctic plunge, and Roman waterfall hot tub. In addition, they hotel offers a variety of fitness classes, paddleboarding, yoga, meditation, and of course, an array of massages, acupuncture, facials, and mani/pedis.

Reason #4: The great bike/jog path- If you love to go out for a job or like taking nice bike rides, the Venetian Islands are one of the best places in Miami to do so. They have a separate lane to make biking and jogging safer and more enjoyable and there are quiet backstreets the branch out from the causeway for those that prefer the road less trafficked. Whether you walk, run, or bike through lavish bayside properties and take in the spectacular water views, your workout will be uplifting and your mind will be clear.

Reason #5: The Sunset Harbour vicinity- As arguably the trendiest up-and-coming neighborhood in Miami Beach, Sunset Harbour is becoming an increasingly attractive destination for locals. With tons of good restaurants such as Lucali Pizza, Icebox Café, Pubbelly Sushi, NaiYaRa Thai cuisine, Barceloneta Spanish food, and Sardinia Enoteca, you have so many great options to choose from. Additionally, there’s Panther Coffee, True Loaf Bakery, JugoFresh cold-pressed juices and bowls, and even Fresh Market and Publix supermarkets. Furthermore, there are abundant fitness studios to choose from- Flywheel spinning and Flybarre, GreenMonkey yoga, Barry’s Bootcamp, SobeKick boxing, Anatomy 1220 personal trainers, JetSet Pilates, and Miami Beach Paddelboard. There are also plenty of shops, salons, bars, and even a co-working space to help you pass your time or stay focused with work. This bustling neighborhood really has it all and it’s still developing and adding new tenants that fit the local profile. Living on the Venetian Islands, adjacent to Sunset Harbour, provides unparalleled opportunities to eat, exercise, shop, work, and so much more!
