Central Park is not the only park with New York activities to enjoy. Queens is host to Flushing Meadows Corona Park — complete with its own zoo and carousel! Whether by car, train, subway, or bus, Flushing Meadows is very easy to travel to. This wonderful park spans the two towns of Flushing and Corona with fields to play and picnic in. Making Flushing Meadows Corona Park unique is its history as host to two World’s Fairs, where you can still see the historic architecture of the fairs still standing. Take the family to the cozy Queens Zoo to visit the many animals, including an enclosed aviary. The zoo also includes a domestic animal petting farm with a discovery center. Get the kids into learning mode with a fun visit to the New York Hall of Science and then The Queens Museum of Art. Still not pooped out, then your family may be able to catch a game at Met’s Citi Field and the USTA National tennis Center, which both call the 124-acre park home.
