Vail Summer Fun

Vail summer is when more than just skiing and snowboarding occur. In the mountains you get to experience the true lifestyle and real meaning behind the saying, “Come for the winter but stay for the summer.”

The saying goes, “Come for the winter, but stay for the summer.” Vail summer has a bevy of activity for young and old alike — from world renowned artists on the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater stage to floating on the raging whitewaters flowing down our rivers and streams. Hike high peaks and take in the large vistas and mountain scenery, or simply sit in our Betty Ford Alpine Gardens and enjoy the wildflowers.

Better known for snowsports, Vail comes alive at the start of June and quickly becomes a hub of mountain activity and lifestyle by July 4th weekend. In fact, the Fourth of July has become our biggest holiday of the year and this is usually a surprising fact to most of our guests.

Summer Sales

I will also note that summer in Vail is when most home sales take place. Summertime allows buyers to walk freely, while exploring large luxury homes often set in iconic locations. The summer mindset is also different. During the winter months guests feel the need to constantly ski or snowboard, maximizing their time riding champagne powder. During the warm months of June, July, August, and September, buyers are more inclined to explore and research homes that may be available. This is also a great time because buyers can close on properties prior to the upcoming ski season, complete remodel work that may need to be done, or research rental operations to maximize rental income should a buyer be looking for income producing properties.

Come wonder and get lost in our mountains. Escape the heat and humidity and feel fresh mountain air on your face.
