What Dad Really Wants For Father’s Day

My father used to play with my brother and me in the yard.  Mother would come out and say, “You’re tearing up the grass.”  “We’re not raising grass,” Dad would reply.  “We’re raising boys.”  ~Harmon Killebrew I couldn’t think of a better quote than the one above to illustrate how Father’s Day and the Value […]

I couldn’t think of a better quote than the one above to illustrate how Father’s Day and the Value of a Home campaign go hand in hand. While I didn’t grow up with a brother, I did often happily wreak havoc on my parents’ yard as a kid and I don’t think my Dad would have wanted it any other way. The dozens of crushed flower beds resulting from intense “Horse” basketball games and the humungous 18 ft patch of brown grass across his perfectly manicured  lawn courtesy of my Slip N’ Slide are part of some of the fondest memories we have of our time together at home.

From being Mr. Fix It, to always completing Mom’s “Honey-Do” list, while still finding time to play catch or help with homework after working all day, Dad’s do it all.

Instead of suggesting cheesy father’s day gifts like a new tie or  a “World’s Best Dad” mug, we have compiled a list of the coolest home amenities found on coldwellbanker.com that just might end up on your dad’s home improvement list!
