Two of the Best Suburban Places to Live

This past month Coldwell Banker Real Estate released its latest study on the Best Places to Live for various types of people and focused this last one on those we refer to as Suburbanites.

East Coast vs. West Coast: Best Places to Live for Social Seekers

A lot of sites have a list of the best places to live, but where one lives really depends on who one is. That’s either the cheesiest or deepest sentence I’ve ever written, but there’s truth to it.

Buying a home has always been more than just beds, baths and square feet. You want to live in a place that suits your lifestyle and that’s why the Coldwell Banker Best Places to Live series has focused on a variety of lifestyle-oriented categories to shed some light on unique towns that are perfect for particular groups.

Home of the Week: Rohallion in Rumson

One of Rumson’s few true estates “Rohallion” embodies all that was the grandeur and elegance of a time gone by recaptured and meticulously restored. Located in Rumson, NJ it’s a stone’s throw from the Atlantic Ocean and the greatest city in the world (that’s NYC for those who are wondering) is just minutes away via high speed ferry or helicopter.

Here’s to Atlantic City

Whether you are visiting or live locally, Atlantic City boasts a unique combination of historic significance with amazing contemporary entertainment. A barrier island along the Atlantic Ocean, Atlantic City is located just 60 miles from Philadelphia, 125 miles from New York City and 175 miles from Washington DC, which offers cultural proximity that few cities across the country can match.

Outstanding Home in a Drama Series: Boardwalk Empire

A Jersey Bachelor Pad for Tim Tebow

Earlier this week we helped Peyton Manning out by offering some suggestions on places he could call home in the Denver, CO area so it’s only fitting that we offer the same services to the quarterback that he displaced. Tomorrow afternoon, Tim Tebow will officially become a member of the New York Jets. While New York is the city the Jets are given credit for representing, in actuality it’s New Jersey where Tebow will spend most of his time.

The Value of a Home

I am shocked at the sheer volume of charts, graphs and heat maps that try and focus consumers on the stats and appreciation trends in home buying and selling. Now, the dollars and cents and crime stats are all a part of the decision to buy a home, but its not the only or even most important reason. Why do people buy homes? Its for lifestyle. It’s personal.

What Exit???

I’m from Atlantic City, NJ, and I am a huge fan of the beaches and beach communities in our state — or as we refer to them collectively, “the shore.”  So with the news that MTV’s The Jersey Shore hit its biggest ratings ever last week (albeit from Miami, FL right now), I thought it [...]

Down the Shore

So I am getting ready for my week’s vacation down the Jersey Shore.  For those of you outside of the Tri-State area of Pennsylvania, New York  and New Jersey, this is a good thing and NOT what you think by watching MTV. Clean white beaches, family oriented activities, 6 mile long boardwalk, great food and [...]
