With thousands hitting the airports and returning home after the two week SXSW conference ended this weekend, we stay down south and take a look at a magnificent estate in Spicewood, TX – right outside of Austin.
Five years ago I packed up my life in Texas and moved to the New York City. As my sixth Christmas in the Big Apple nears I can’t help but reflect on what this life changing transition has been like. Many of my Christmas traditions from life in Texas have been carried over to my new life in the city, but this year there is a new tradition that reminds me that home, during the holidays and every other day, is always better when it is filled with those we love.
August is almost here and much of the country will be sending the kiddos off to school. NFL Training Camps are underway, and the commute to work feels just a bit lighter as vacation time starts getting used more often. Linsanity is moving southwest. The NBA sensation of last season, Jeremy Lin, is headed to the Houston Rockets. If you’ll recall Jeremy Lin bursted on the scene last season with the New York Knicks when electrified the New York crowds by going from bench warmer to 20 points and 10 assists per game before getting hurt. On top of that, he was sleeping on a teammate’s couch as he didn’t have a place to call his own.
