NYC Craft Beer Festival
Didn’t get enough beer at New York City Beer Week? You’re in luck: The NYC Craft Beer Festival is here. Running from March 13–14, this exciting sudsapalooza brings together roughly 75 breweries at the Lexington Avenue Armory to celebrate the artistry and craftsmanship that goes into creating delicious brews. This year marks the 10-year anniversary of the fest, where craft brew aficionados can sample 150 different varieties of beer from the likes of Sixpoint Brewery, Brewery Ommegang, and Founders Brewing.

NYC Restaurant Week
One of the most hotly anticipated NYC events for those who enjoy fine dining on a budget, NYC Restaurant Week is that awesome, oh-so-very palate-pleasing time when New Yorkers and visitors alike can try out all the restaurants they’ve read about in the reviews. This year, over 340 NYC restaurants are taking part in this gastravaganza. You can indulge in a three-course $25 lunch or $38 dinner at places ranging from All’Onda to Zengo. Step outside of your comfort zone and try a restaurant that you’ve never been to before. Who knows? You may discover an affinity and love for octopus a la plancha at Bar Boulud that will last long after Restaurant Week is over.

Frigid New York
So, Hedwig and the Angry Inch (starring the newly returned original Hedwig, John Cameron Mitchell) and the cast of Wicked aren’t going anywhere anytime soon, so if you’d like to try something very un-Broadway-like, check out the Frigid New York fringe theater festival. Comprised of 30 shows spread out over two theaters in the East Village, this extremely popular festival features over 150 performances from 30 independent theater companies. The festival was created in order to give a voice and a platform to artists from all over the world who otherwise would never have been able to showcase their talents. This festival is an awesome way to support artists: They receive 100 percent of the box office sales from their performances. Ticket prices are an affordable $10 to $15 and they go fast, so book soon.
