Amercians love their home towns. We all have nicknames for the places we live. Some are well known to residents across the country, while others are more exclusive to those living within the city limits. I was curious when I saw a survey put out today by InboxQ that relates to how Amercians refer to their hometowns on Twitter.

I was curious when I saw a survey put out today by InboxQ that relates to how Amercians refer to their hometowns on Twitter. About 66% of Twitter users have a legitimate location listed in their profile as their hometown. The other 33%? Let’s just say that they’re a bit more creative. So InboxQ matched up these fictional names of towns with the actual location of the Twitter users to create this really interesting infographic which you can see below. My personal favorite is “Milwacky.”
