Yankees’ Chase Headley Goes Coast to Coast to Find a New Home

From San Diego to New York City, Yankees’ 3B Chase Headley finds a new home in the middle of the baseball season.

Imagine you got a call today from your boss telling you that you have to move across the country…immediately. You don’t have a choice. You need to pack up your things and get going.

That’s a nightmare scenario for most people, but something that baseball players experience every single year. This past summer, Chase Headley made the biggest move of any player as he traveled 3,000 miles from San Diego to New York in a trade between the Padres and Yankees.

As part of our Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage series with MLB.com, we sat down with the newest Bronx Bomber to understand what that experience is like for a ballplayer and how important finding a new place to call home really is.

Check out the video below and others in the Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage series.
