The energy behind the Coldwell Banker #HomeRocks Awards is running high and we’re keeping the fun going by highlighting another nominee for best song about home in 2013 –  “Almost Home,” by none other than the legendary, five time Grammy winner, Mariah Carey.

The lyrics are a powerful reminder that no matter what you’re going through just, “know you’re not alone, you’re almost home.” And for that this song truly captures the essence how much home and music resonate with each other.

The sound of this song is much different than what fans are used to hearing from Mariah. “Almost Home,” departs from the usual, sensual, R&B ballads that have become synonymous with Carey and enters more into the contemporary pop arena.

Almost home is the title song from the Oz: The Great and Powerful soundtrack. The movie was released by Walt Disney Pictures in March 2013.
