Ragan is a leading voice in the communications industry serving communications, public relations, marketers and HR professionals.
Celebrating Excellence
Ragan’s Top Women in Communications Awards is a prestigious program that acknowledges and celebrates the achievements of outstanding women in the communications industry. Athena will be celebrated alongside other accomplished women at the Top Women in Communications Awards Luncheon, which will take place on February 29 at the City Winery in New York City. This event will be an inspiring occasion, bringing together industry leaders to acknowledge and celebrate the accomplishments of the honorees.
Athena’s Impact
In her current role, Athena amplifies media exposure for Coldwell Banker Real Estate and its extensive network of 100,000+ professionals worldwide. She works across the residential, luxury and commercial sectors of the brand to create a holistic story and uphold the Coldwell Banker legacy as a global industry leader in real estate. Collaborating closely with executives and key spokespeople, she ensures effective communication of key messages and offerings that the brand brings to the real estate landscape.
Athena is a driving force behind campaigns that leave a lasting impact on the community and industry. One of her most significant achievements is the CB Supports St. Jude Program, which she developed entirely from the ground up. This program encourages the Coldwell Banker network’s 100,000+ real estate agents to donate a portion of every home sale or purchase to the cause, ensuring that no family will bear the financial weight of treatment, travel, housing or food expenses as they fight to bring their children back home. Through her efforts, Athena has assisted the company in raising almost $2 million for families.
Aside from her work on a national scale, Athena also works closely with local offices to provide tailored public relations support for their openings, expansions and more. Among those, she assists the companies that join the brand through its Inclusive Ownership (IO) program, created to help increase representation of entrepreneurs in the real estate industry in diverse populations including ethnic and racial groups, women, LGBTQ+ and veterans. Athena has played a pivotal role in promoting the launch of more than 30 companies that have joined through the IO program, amplifying their mission and impact.
Previously, she helped with the brand’s Smart Home campaign at CES, a campaign to raise $6 million in two years to build 130 Habitat for Humanity homes and the Homes for Dogs program in partnership with Adopt-a-Pet.com that resulted in tens of thousands of dogs finding their forever homes.
Setting the Bar
Athena utilizes her creativity and strategic mindset to establish Coldwell Banker as the industry’s most storied real estate company. Having spearheaded numerous high-profile endeavors, she combines her talent for active listening with media relations to garner attention and generate buzz. In 2023, Athena played a vital role in the rollout of the recent Dream Campaign, a refreshed ad that debuted during the 2023 Thursday Night Football season and creatively intertwined the world of real estate with the excitement of sports.
Athena’s keen sense of creativity and acumen for public relations has shined through her exemplary work and dedication to the Coldwell Banker brand. She has been a strong influence on Coldwell Banker’s mission to make homeownership a reality. We are delighted to celebrate Athena and look forward to witnessing her continued success.
