International marketing competition recognizes the company’s rebrand as standout marketing strategy

MADISON, NJ (October 28, 2020) – Coldwell Banker Real Estate LLC, a Realogy (NYSE: RLGY) brand and industry-leading franchise for 114 years, is thrilled to announce the brand has been recognized as a 2020 MarCom Platinum Winner under the Strategic Communications category for its transparent rebrand.

2020 MarCom Platinum Winner

MarCom Awards recognize the outstanding achievement by creative professionals involved in the concept, direction, design, and production of marketing and communication materials and programs. Over 5,000 entries were submitted this year from corporate marketing and communication departments, advertising agencies, public relations firms, design shops, production companies, and freelancers.

Led by Chief Marketing Officer David Marine, the transparent rebrand was a first-of-its-kind strategy to refresh the brand’s logo and signage of 40 years, pulling back the curtain to allow the network’s brokers and affiliated agents be involved in all phases of the process. The transparent process allowed for testing real-world scenarios and collecting valuable feedback from the agents and brokers who would ultimately bring the new branding to life. When COVID-19 affected the launch to the consumer audience, Marine successfully pivoted the campaign. He rapidly directed the rework of the brand’s television and streaming ads to focus on society’s renewed sense of home amid the pandemic.

The brand’s transparent rebrand journey was a marketing success, achieving national media recognition in publications such as AdWeek and surpassing its goal of projected media placements four times over. Through the branding refresh, the Coldwell Banker brand also grew its network from 92,000 to 94,000 agents, meeting a key business goal.
