When a family of three more than doubles seemingly overnight, a home can quickly run out of space.
John and Amy live in Mamaroneck, NY with their son Chase. Their home fit their family just right. But when their sister-in-law, Nikki passed away, John and Amy knew they had to take in their three nieces and Nikki’s sister, which meant their home was about to double in people.
“We knew that we needed to make their world bright again,” Amy says about taking in her three nieces. However, the upstairs space in John and Amy’s home, which would serve as a space where the girls could feel safe and comfortable, was empty and unfinished, causing anxiety for the young family. George Oliphant and the George to the Rescue team turn that anxiety into relief as they create a space that the newest members of John & Amy’s household could call their own.
For John, his favorite part of home is coming home. We can all relate to that feeling we get when we walk through the door, hear our loved ones voices, kick off our shoes and know relaxation is around the corner. Described as “happy chaos” by Amy, there’s nothing quite like coming home.
And this time, coming home after George to the Rescue, this family is in for a treat.
