The Many Stages of Having a Snow Day at Home

The highs and lows of a snow day at home.

Is it going to happen? Is a snow day really in your future or is your local weatherman just messing with you?

You lay your head down to sleep hoping to wake up to a beautiful winter wonderland.

It’s official…it’s a SNOW DAY! NO WORK TODAY! Thank you little frozen drops of rain!

Many don’t know this but Snow Day is also known as “Stay in Your Pajamas All Day Day”

Ok, time for round 1 of shoveling. You step outside only to realize there is WAY more snow than you expected.

Before you get to work you admire just how beautiful nature is at this very moment.

You even take a moment to channel your inner child by catching a flake or two on your tongue.

You are quickly brought back to reality as you are pelted by a snowball. Hey kid next-door…it was funny the first 5 times. ENOUGH.

First things first…start with cleaning off your car.

You glance around at your other neighbors and chuckle at their snow shoveling techniques.

Wow that wind is chilly. Time to head back inside to enjoy to the comfort of your warm home.

Reward yourself for all the hard work you just did outside with a nice cup of hot chocolate.

Don’t forget the marshmallows!

Fire up that fireplace and relax as the warmth of the flames cover you like your favorite blanket.

You peek out the window only to realize your driveway is COMPLETELY covered with snow again. Time for round 2 of shoveling!

“Am I the only one not wanting to shovel again?” Nope, same look on my neighbors face.

Maybe if I help him then he will help me. (Couldn’t help but notice his fancy snow blower) Yes, teamwork makes the dream work. Mission accomplished

Dinner time already? Let’s see what we’ve got.

Pizza delivery it is! Aw man..poor guy froze to death!

Phew..today was exhausting. Hope I can go to work tomorrow!
