There are fun things to do in NYC during every month of the year, and March is no exception. You can take in a flower show, explore a museum exhibit, eat some wonderful food, and enjoy any little preview of spring that we’re lucky enough to get a taste of. Here are some fun happenings and things to do in NYC in March:

U.P. at Dominique Ansel Kitchen

U.P., which stands for Unlimited Possibilities, is an intimate after-hours dessert tasting which takes place at Dominique Ansel Kitchen. Tickets are available online for different seatings, each of which takes place in the actual kitchen of the pastry shop — the table at which guests eat actually descends from the ceiling! The menu, which changes every six months, is currently built around the theme of “American Dreams.” Guests will be led through eight courses of delectable desserts and amazingly unique creations, which are as much a treat for the eyes as the taste buds. If you’re a foodie or lover of sweets, this is one of those things to do in NYC that should be right up your alley!

Macy’s Flower Show

The Macy’s Flower Show is a floral exhibition taking place March 20th through April 3rd at Macy’s Herald Square. The show is free and this year’s theme is America the Beautiful. The ground floor of Macy’s will be covered in beautiful, lush floral displays, which patrons are free to admire and wander through during regular store hours. There will be activities and events taking place during the two-week show as well, such as wreath making with Le Sportsac and a chocolatier demonstration.

Fairy Tale Fashion at FIT

Fairy Tale Fashion is an exhibition taking place at the Museum at F.I.T. through April 16. The exhibition explores high fashion in fairy tales, including symbolism, costumes, and the many references to clothing that are made within these stories. Clothing helps to shape characters in fairy tales, and this exhibition explores these references while displaying pieces from such designers as Alexander McQueen, Dolce & Gabbana, Marchesa, and many more. The accessories and garments are placed into fantastical, fairy-tale esque settings, and the overall effect looks to be interesting and beautiful.

Bake the Book at Momofuku Milk Bar

If you live in NYC and have a sweet tooth, chances are good that you’ve at least heard of Momofuku Milk Bar. This tiny East Village bakery is where pastry chef Christina Tosi has created such mouthwatering favorites as the Compost Cookie, Crack Pie, and Cereal Milk ice cream. Well, now you can take classes at Momofuku Milk Bar’s Williamsburg location and learn to make fun and delicious treats from the Milk Bar cookbook yourself! There are plenty of classes available in March and spots can be purchased through Course Horse.
