Staging a home for sale can make a dramatic difference in the interest from potential buyers, and ultimately the final sale price. In the video below, which first appeared on LXTV Open House, Jill Biggs of the The Jill Biggs Group with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in Hoboken, NJ shares her expert tips for home staging as she transforms her clients home from empty to imperial.
Staging is the process of highlighting a home’s best assets to entice potential buyers. Small updates like a fresh coat of paint or removal of a kitchen backsplash can pack a big punch. In fact, Jill states that staging can make the difference of hundreds of thousands in high-end properties.
The 2,500 square foot property featured in this segment is a spacious loft with spectacular city views and top of the line building amenities. But, Jill recognized that with a few small touches, the property would shine even brighter in the eyes of potential buyers. To showcase how spacious the unit really is, it was important to Jill and her team to add vignettes, or defined seating areas so interested buyers could envision the different living spaces within the unit. With an update to the paint color, refinishing of the beautiful wood floors, and the addition of stylized accessories, the space comes to life.
