What is the perfect weekend day like:  Alexandria has something to offer for the adventurer in all of us. This city is full of many interesting activities that could be done including visiting historical sites, libraries, museums, or just laying back on the beach.

What are the common modes of transportation there: Alexandria is built for walking, and certainly, the central and downtown districts are best explored on foot. For longer journeys around the city, there are other options like Taxis, Trams, Micro Buses, and Calesh (Horse-drawn carriages that loiter around downtown and can provide a romantic means to trot along the seafront)

Tell us about the foods your area is known for: Alexandria cuisine is very simple, and this simplicity is what makes it unique and attractive. Food in Alexandria and the coast of Egypt tends to use a great deal of fish and other seafood. Whole grilled prawns and grilled whole fish are only two of the numerous lightly seasoned and modestly cooked dishes that are the backbone of modern-age Alexandrian cuisine.

What is your favorite meal? At home or at a restaurant: My favorite meal is “Shawarma” (a popular Middle Eastern dish consisting of meat or boneless chicken cut into thin slices) and Alexandrian Hawawshi (bread stuffed with minced meat and Egyptian spices)

Where do you recommend someone vacation in your region, why: Stanley is a neighborhood near the city center of Alexandria. The area is most famous for the iconic Stanley Bridge on the Corniche, as well as its private-access beach, and a lot of services like cafes and restaurants. While walking along Stanley Bridge, you will see fishermen line up on the bridge waiting for their catch of the day, it constitutes a major part of the reconstruction and decoration of Alexandria corniche.

What is your favorite recreational or leisure time activity: There are many ways to enjoy my time in Alexandria, sometimes I go swimming or have long walks on the corniche and other times I visit Sayed Darwish Theatre (Alexandria Opera House).

Is there a specialty your area is known for: The Mediterranean Sea and the long walks along the Alexandria Corniche in addition to its delicious seafood

Share a little known but interesting fact about the area/region: Alexandria beaches have made it an Egyptian resort, visited by millions of people throughout the year.
