If you’re looking to up your game when it comes to closing gifts, consider the world of smart home tech!

The number of smart devices in homes around the country is expected to grow by 480% – from 42 million to 244 million – over the next five years, according to Forrester Research. Part of what is driving that explosion of smart home tech is that the products are getting easier to use and set up. Plus, more and more of these devices can talk to each other and be controlled from a central point – an app or voice controlled speaker, like Amazon Alexa.

  • Belkin WeMo Mini Wi-Fi Smart Plug: This plug makes any small appliance “smart.” It uses outlets to connect appliances to the web, letting you to control them with your phone.
