In our newest ‘Home of the Week‘, we move from an exclusive mansion in D.C. to a 10,000+ square foot gem in the affluent village of Glencoe – on suburban Chicago’s North Shore.
Listed for just $3,445,000, this grand home spares absolutely no expense in its supreme attention to detail. From the hand painted inset dome with custom chandelier that dominates the foyer, to the custom fireplaces and kitchen cabinets handcrafted by Amish artisans; everything about this home exudes a uniquely refined feeling of home.
In total, the home features 6 bedrooms and 6.5 bathrooms with a master en suite highlighted by a 12 foot ceiling with inlet lighting and a fireplace to warm you up during those cold Chicago winter nights. While one could also enjoy the enormous backyard with ravine setting, the 3,000 square foot walk-out lower level is a big kid and entertainer’s dream. It features a fully functional wet-bar and game area as well as a large theater with over-sized leather seats for watching Bears game or movies with the family.
The estate also features an exquisite chef’s kitchen, workout room and even an elevator! There’s certainly a reason why this home was recently featured on NBC’s LXTV Open House. Watch the video above for an in depth look at this phenomenal home listed by David Kipnis with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage.

This mansion looks like a castle. I would love to tour the home and explore all the different parts to the home. Chicago is a great city and I have heard that the North Shore is a great place to raise a family. http://www.jeanwrightrealestate.com/northshorecommunities

I think I would find on of those Mercedes Sprinters truck for sale http://zautos.com/used-car/for-sale/mercedes_benz-sprinter/ I was in one that was done as a limo and it was really nice
