Jacksonville Shopping Aplenty in Several Local Neighborhoods

Jacksonville shopping options are varied and aplenty in the area. There are many neighborhoods that offer boutique, high-end and brand name shopping destinations in the city. There also are many discount and outlet options for those looking for a bargain.

Jacksonville shopping options are varied and readily available no matter what neighborhood you live in or are visiting. From high-end boutiques and brand names to discount and outlet shopping, there are many places for shoppers with a variety of budgets. Here’s a look at the most popular Jacksonville shopping locations.

Southside

Jacksonville’s shopping mecca is the St. Johns Town Center. Located in South Jacksonville, the Town Center is the only location in town with high-end brand name stores such as Louis Vuitton, Michael Kors, and Tiffany & Co. There are also more budget conscious stores, such as Target, Old Navy, and the city’s only Costco.

Riverside/Five Points/San Marco

Riverside, the historic neighborhood adjacent to Downtown Jacksonville, has recently become a shopping destination for Jacksonville residents and visitors. Most stores are located in the area’s Five Points district, which includes boutiques, such as Bead Here Now, Wolfgang, and Violet, as well as restaurants and a movie theater. It’s known as the place for younger residents to find unique clothing, accessories, and gifts.

On the other side of the St. Johns River is San Marco. Also a historic Jacksonville area, San Marco’s boutiques are a bit more upscale than the Five Points choices and include Rosie True, Therapie, and Olive. These options suit those who are looking for brand names and higher priced choices.

The Beaches

Jacksonville is fortunate to have several local beaches, such as Jacksonville Beach, Neptune Beach, Ponte Vedra Beach, and Atlantic Beach. Each of these beaches has its own shopping areas and districts. Although most of the shopping choices are surf shops and beach attire, there are options for all visitors and residents, such as the vintage jewelry store Ellie Bing and the South Beach Regional Shopping Center.

St. Augustine

Just a bit south of Jacksonville is the nation’s oldest city, St. Augustine. Many people visit the city each year to see its historic landmarks, but it is also becoming known as a shopping destination. St. Augustine has the two outlet shopping centers closest to Jacksonville. The St. Augustine Premium Outlets has discount stores of brand name favorites such as Gap, Coach, and Polo Ralph Lauren.

Across the interstate from the Premium Outlets are the St. Augustine Outlets. These outlets have more high-end stores, such as Gucci, Saks Fifth Avenue OFF 5TH, Juicy Couture, and Kate Spade.

No matter what you need to buy, or if you’re just looking to browse, there are many shopping choices in the city. Whether it is down the street or a short drive away, you can find exactly what you’re looking for in Jacksonville.
