Panik Room: No Worries for Joe Panik in San Francisco

San Francisco Giants second baseman Joe Panik gives us a tour of the place where he is always safe at home.

After taking a tour of Dallas Keuchel’s Houston home, this week we head to California to hear why one of the best young infielders in the game says, “when I’m done playing baseball, I want to come to a place that reminds me of home.”

Originally from the East coast, Joe Panik is finding comfort out in the Bay Area.  Just twenty-five years old, Joe is entering his third year in the big leagues and making a giant splash in San Francisco.  And not only has he found the best places to eat and spend his time in his neighborhood when he’s away from the field, he also has a World Series championship to show for it.

I was really hoping that Joe would have a place called the “Panik Room” somewhere in the house, but apparently he doesn’t find ironic puns with his last name as hilarious as I do.  Nonetheless, Joe has surrounded himself with memorabilia and valuables that remind him of home growing up back in New York.  One thing that he has left on the East coast is the weather.  The California sun shining down in Panik’s backyard is one of his favorite features. But judging by his wicked baseball tan lines on his forearms, he may need to spend some more time outside in something other than a baseball uniform.

When he was a kid, Joe used to watch Major Leaguers across baseball don pink uniforms and swing pink bats on Mother’s Day.  Now, it’s his turn.  His own pink bat is one of his most prized possessions – a reminder of how incredible it is that he is able to live out his dreams as a professional baseball player.

The coolest part of the tour is when we get to see Joe’s World Series ring.  Though that is awesome, there is another ring he is ready to put on his left hand that is far more important.  Watch the video above to hear more about that ring that outdoes even a World Series championship and so much more.

Then find your next perfect home in the City by the Bay.
