Within seconds of being invited into their home, one immediately grasps that family, or ohana in his native tongue, is the most important thing for former Phillies great, and current Boston Red Sox outfielder Shane Victorino, and his wife, Melissa. In the second video of the 2015 Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage video series, the twelve year Major League veteran and his wife share how a home provides the perfect opportunity to instill family values and teach an appreciation for their success in their children.
In a location perfectly situated in between his place of work on the east coast and his home state of Hawaii, the Victorinos call Las Vegas home. Although during the season many major leaguers are away from their homes for weeks on end, the two-time All-Star and four-time Gold Glove award winner shares how he always keeps his home and family in mind no matter where he is taking the field.
The Flyin’ Hawaiian also shows off some one of a kind memorabilia, and a custom built aquarium made by their kid’s classmate’s famous parent. Although he is originally from Hawaii, Victorino shows us why his home in the desert has become the 9th island.
