Whether you were a fan of Mr. Wizard or Bill Nye the Science Guy, chances are at some point in your childhood science sparked your curiosity. From dropping Mentos in Coke bottles to Jenga, science and physics can capture our imaginations even at home.

With school being back in session and kids turning up their noses to any type of learning outside the classroom, the folks at BuzzFeed put together a simple video featuring some simple and easy science experiments you can do at home. I know, I know. I can hear my mom now. Any sentence including the phrase “science experiment” caused her to run for the fire extinguisher and mop because a mess was about to made. That’s not the case here.
