The huge 28-acre sports village that spreads across three piers on the Hudson River offers plenty of choice of indoor activities. Practice your golf swing indoors in a full swing simulator at the Golf Club. One of the top destinations for ice skating in NYC, the indoor Sky Rink is open all year for skating while taking pleasure in the views of the Hudson River. Check out the Sports Center to try their rock climbing wall, indoor sand volleyball court, and indoor pool. Throw in the Bowlmor bowling club, and you’ve got an amazing range of choices for a day (or days!) of indoor fun. Don’t forget to save some time for relaxation with yoga and a treatment at the spa.

New York Historical Society Museum & Library
The New York Historical Society is a perfect destination for history buffs seeking indoor activities in New York City. Founded in 1804, it’s the oldest museum in NYC. The mission of the museum is “to explore the richly layered political, cultural and social history of New York City,” as well as “to serve as a national forum for the discussion of issues surrounding the making and meaning of history.” In addition to its exhibits, the museum hosts events and activities for everyone — they recently launched “The Pinkertonian Mystery,” an immersive and interactive theater event in which kids can solve a crime inspired by actual historical events.
