What to Expect at Closing?

Congratulations! You've made it to the last step in the home selling process: the closing. What should you expect next?

Congratulations!  You’ve made it to the last step in the home selling process: the closing.  To get to this point in the process, there were several steps, including price negotiations, a home inspection, and an appraisal.

Now, it’s time to sign on the dotted line.  But, what should you expect at the closing?  First, the buyer will do a final walk-through of the property.  Then, you’ll move to the attorney’s office to sign the necessary paperwork.  What is the most important document you’ll sign?  Find out from Ronnie Aiosa of the Boswell Aiosa Group with Coldwell Banker Residential Brokerage in the video below.

  1. Great information Victoria.A few things to add are making sure that both parties set up their new address with their new postal service provider, cancel/transfer all utilities and as mentioned, thoroughly review the HUD1 and understand it before signing. Note that every state is not an attorney state, although you are free to choose one and your Realtor or closing agent will be at the closing to explain the HUD1 and associated costs to you.
