Baseball and home. They go together like ice cream and apple pie. Pepperoni and pizza. Willie and Mays.
Home is an element heard throughout baseball lore. Of course you have home plate, a home run and you root, root, root for the home team. But there’s also the symbolism of every ballpark having the fence, “going yard,” and the beautifully landscaped lawns.
Yes, home and baseball were meant to be together.
Out of all the professional sports, baseball players are the ones that spend the most time away from home. Their season is the longest and they play just as many games away as they do at home. For them being at home holds a special place in their hearts and we at Coldwell Banker Real Estate wanted to explore that feeling a bit further.
Through our partnership with MLB.com, tomorrow we will unveil a first of its kind video series called Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage that will allow you to look inside the homes of some of baseball’s most talented players to see not just how their homes look, but what makes being home so special.
This 13 part video series will take you through the homes of Yankees pitcher CC Sabathia, White Sox slugger Adam Dunn, Dodgers great Steve Garvey and many more. Having seen some of these videos already I can tell you that while the theme of the videos are all the same, each one has a different take on what makes being home so great.
We hope you’ll enjoy seeing some of your favorite Major Leaguers off the field and in their homes as much as you do seeing them on the mound or at the plate.
Visit blog.coldwellbanker.com/homefield starting on May 14 to check out all of these amazing videos and come back every Wednesday to see a new player video be unveiled.
I love their craft room. Very cute house and family. Good luck with the clothing line. 🙂 – Heather O
