Snow. Ice. Sleet. Shovel. That seems to be the course of events for most of us this winter, but one thing that often gets overlooked until it becomes a problem are ice dams.
Yes, ice dams are one of the biggest pains of home ownership in colder areas during the winter months. I have experienced it first hand where my gutters got so filled with ice that when the snow melted it found its way into my home and caused some serious damage to my ceilings and dry wall. Zero fun.
