Innovation. It’s the buzz word of the century. And it’s happening in your home, too. Smart home technology is bringing innovation to our doorsteps. As a co-sponsor of the Smart Home Marketplace at this year’s CES 2016, Coldwell Banker showed NBC Open House around, checking out the hot trends when it comes to making your home just a little bit smarter.

The Consumer Electronics Show, or CES, is the place for companies large and small show off their gadgets and devices and one category that’s rapidly growing are the products that make your home smarter. Because the future of real estate is all about integrating technology into the home, Coldwell Banker Real Estate was on site at CES 2016 as these new technologies were being unveiled, to learn about the latest and greatest. See the segment which first appeared on NBC Open House in the video below.

A recent Coldwell Banker survey showed that the majority of people shopping for homes are aware of the smart home tech available. What’s more? Home buyers and sellers are specifically looking to their real estate professional to tell them how they should invest in smart home technology to enhance their lifestyle and increase the value of their home.
