Not only does it add visual appeal, it also adds a fragrant smell to the room that will awaken your senses every morning. To decorate your mantel with flowers, purchase two beautiful vases in yellow, light blue, light green, or a similar pastel color and fill it with fresh seasonal flowers from your local flower shop or garden center. Wild lilies and tulips are popular on the East Coast in the springtime. Also, look for sunflowers to use as the central element for your bouquets.

You can also use a beautiful mirror to cheer up your mantel. This is a chance to use your crafting skills to create a unique spring-themed design. Here are some ideas to get your creative juices going:
- Purchase white lace trim or lattice to line the edges of the mirror to put you in the mind of “spring in the country.”
- Get pastel-colored stickers, magnets, or decorative rhinestones and use them to create a design at the center of the mirror.
