This Stunning Spanish-Style Villa Was Once Home to a Rocker and Dracula

NBC Open House takes us inside this 1926 Spanish-style home listed with Coldwell Banker, which was once home to rocker Tony Clearwater & the original Dracula.

One might expect the home of Dracula to be rather dark and spooky – but prepare to be surprised. Rocker turned home designer & builder, Tony Clearwater, recently listed his stunning Spanish-style LA home, which once was home to the original Dracula, Bela Lugosi.Ho After a 3-year meticulous renovation, Clearwater has created a modern masterpiece with plenty of vintage flair.

Loaded with history and beautiful details, this 4-bedroom, 3 bath 3,226 sq. foot home, affectionately named Casa de Agua Clara, exemplifies exquisite Spanish architecture from the tongue-in-groove ceiling and exposed beams to the Spanish tile and arched doorways. But, the beauty isn’t contained to the interior, the hillside views from the master suite private balcony transports one to the European countryside.

When asked what his favorite room is in the villa, Clearwater responds “the kitchen,” without hesitation and we can see why! The open floor plan, modern chef-grade appliances and wide counter island give us no reason to leave!
