Adam Dunn, Chicago White Sox player nicknamed “Big Donkey,” may be among the major league leaders every season in number of pitches per at bat, but for him “run home” has a dual meaning. When baseball season finishes, Dunn leaves Chicago and rushes home to Texas. To Dunn, the difference between Chicago and Texas is likened to a house vs. a home.
In this edition of Coldwell Banker Home Field Advantage, Adam and Rachel Dunn give us a tour of their Texas home where they enjoy a pool, media room and plenty of outdoor activities. While Dunn shows off his baseball memorabilia collection, one of his proudest keepsakes is his oldest son’s first jersey, now much too small.
Just as Dunn is comfortable at the plate, home to him is where he can relax. To Dunn, “when everyone’s together and we’re here, it’s perfect.”
