August 15, 2012 will go down as a historic and momentous day for men everywhere. ‘Man Cave’ was officially added as a recognized “new word” to Merriam-Webster dictionary. (read about it)
The official definition reads:
a room or space (as in a basement) designed according to the taste of the man of the house to be used as his personal area for hobbies and leisure activities. First known use of Man Cave: 1992
We applaud Merriam-Webster for including this new entry as it has been a phrase that we at Coldwell Banker have loved using for years! In fact the term “man cave” is currently included in 906 listings on coldwellbanker.com.
