Generation Blue 2016 Arrived in Miami Beach

The 2016 Coldwell Banker Generation Blue Miami Experience kicked off on Miami Beach, bringing together real estate top producers from all over the world.

Starting this past Monday, the Coldwell Banker Generation Blue Miami Experience kicked off on Miami Beach. This annual event brings together the company’s top producers from all over the world and has various educational and networking opportunities throughout the week. This year’s Gen Blue Experience sold out in less than 12 hours — a new record!

The first event of the week was a Coldwell Banker Previews International Certification Course held at The Temple House. Here, various agents met, mingled and learned about the best practices for navigating through the luxury real estate market by expert Coldwell Banker agents and executives. Following the Luxury VIP Presentation, a cocktail reception took place at the same location where delicious cocktails and hors d’oeuvres were served.

On Tuesday, the Coldwell Banker Previews International Certification Course continued with a full agenda detailing the many available marketing options, explaining how to build meaningful relationships with other agents, teaching how to prepare an exceptional listing presentation, and much more.

Later that afternoon, our team, The Jills Group, hosted a luxury tour of some of our properties, ending with a cocktail reception at Lenny Kravitz’s former home at 1800 W 25 St that featured an innovative live-staging event with Meredith Baer. The guests were divided into 3 buses which went to a stunning neo-classical estate at 4370 N Bay Rd, a modern masterpiece at 5045 Lakeview Dr, an elegant penthouse at The Edition and a spectacular unit at the luxurious Setai condo.

That evening, Coldwell Banker hosted a wonderful dinner at the historic Vizcaya Museum and Gardens. The event featured dinner, dancing, and even fireworks.

Wednesday morning marked the official beginning of the 2016 Gen Blue Miami Experience with the Opening General Session at the Fillmore Theater. Charlie Young, Coldwell Banker’s new CEO, and Mike Fischer, the COO, welcomed the attending agents and comedian Frank Caliendo gave a hilarious stand-up performance.

Other brilliant insights were offered at the Learning Sessions by many more Coldwell Banker associates, including my mom, Jill Hertzberg and Jill Eber, who were on the Market Conquest Panel of #1 Agents.

Following the day’s enlightening panels, there was an International Event and 30 Under 30 event at the Ritz-Carlton where agents were awarded for their achievements. From 8pm-10pm, many of the top South Florida agents headed to Cibo’s Rooftop for some delectable hors d’oeuvres and drinks.

Thursday was filled with another day of very useful sessions. I was flattered and humbled to be on a Smart Home Technology Panel in the morning where I talked about the tech trends shaping the industry and how important it is to understand and embrace them. Later that day, our family was honored for being the #1 Sales Team for Coldwell Banker worldwide! It was a very exciting day!

To close out the wonderful week of shared knowledge and festivities, the Gen Blue Miami Experience held a Closing Night Party at the iconic Nikki Beach where everyone was dressed in all white, a true Miami fashion statement. This year was very special for my family and myself as we were able to host our Coldwell Banker extended family in our hometown. We had such a great time meeting new people, connecting with old friends and we are already looking forward to Gen Blue next year!
