We all know how crucial staging is when it comes to successfully selling your home – you may have even followed our agents’ best tips and tricks for staging. But what about smart staging?

Last week, Coldwell Banker unveiled the results of a survey it conducted with Parks Associates which found that 44 percent of people who want a move-in ready home said smart home technology should already be installed. Another 57 percent would consider an older home “updated” if it had smart home technology.

These results were eye-opening: buyers are beginning to expect smart home technology built into their next home. To meet sellers’ needs, three top smart home brands, Nest, August and Lutron created the first-ever smart home staging kit – available to Coldwell Banker agents and their home sellers at a discounted price.

The Smart Home Staging Kit is available for purchase online starting today. The kit includes:

Nest Learning Thermostat

Nest Thermo

Nest Protect smoke and carbon monoxide (CO) alarm

Nest Protect

Nest Cam Indoor security camera

Home sellers can purchase the complete smart home staging kit or select individual products as add-ons or standalone items. Consumers can also request for professional installation by Pro.com. The best part? Once the kit has been installed in your home it can be marketed as a smart home.

Coldwell should include the iGuardStove product that I saw. It automatically shuts off the kitchen stove when people walk away and forget their cooking. It connects to the Internet to send text messages about the stove being used and other great home health and safety features. It’s brilliant. Its all about protecting family and your new home that Coldwell just helped you buy. http://www.iguardfire.com
