With the 2016 Olympic games in full swing, we’ve all become professional sports spectators. It can sometimes feel silly to watch such athletic feats from the couch, so we decided it’s about time to start training for Tokyo 2020. Lucky for us, there are a few new sports being added to the mix: baseball/softball, karate, skateboarding, climbing, and surfing.
To help you get ready to win gold four years from now, here are a few homes with built-in training facilities:
Baseball/softball
This lakefront retreat would suit even baseball’s greatest stars with it’s outdoor batting cage. Drop down the netting on both sides of this covered outdoor space and knock out homers all day long. You’ll be drafted well before Tokyo.
How can you not become a baseball star with a diamond in your backyard? Invite your friends over for 9 innings and then hop in the pool to cool off and show off your other Olympic skills.
Karate
The workout studio in this spectacular Beverly Hills, CA would be the perfect place to hone your martial art skills, work on your yoga practice, or simply meditate about how you’ve just won the home Olympics…if there ever was such a thing.
Skateboarding
With a wide circular drive like this Rye, NY estate, we’d be skateboarding Olympics-ready in no time.
Climbing
This rock gym takes playing indoors to a new level – literally. The slanted wall makes for even more difficult training.
In this Illinois home, the homeowner’s incorporated an indoor sport court which includes a basketball hoop and massive climbing wall. Talk about amenities!
We love the idea of incorporating a climbing wall into a home gym. And this Sandy Springs, GA home does not disappoint!
Surfing
Located on Hawaii’s North Shore, also known as mecca for surfers, this home would make the perfect place to train for Toyko 2020’s new surfing Olympic event. Then again, it would make the perfect place to simply sit and relax for the next four years, too.
When you can literally watch the surf out your front door, you know you’re in the right place. What’s more? There’s even a coat closet turned surf board storage space so you can simply grab your gear and go catch the perfect wave!
Need we say more?
