How to Turn Autumn Leaves into Home Decor

Saturday was the first official day of fall according to the calendar although many of us feel like fall comes even sooner with the advent of school days, football weekends and pumpkin flavored treats on the store shelves. For those that have autumn decorations in your home, I’m betting the majority of them have multi-colored leaves as part of the design. But why not use actual leaves to help add some color to your place? Turns out leaves can be used for more than raking.

As you’ll see in the video above, it’s relatively simple to turn those fallen leaves into a nice accent. Simply pickup some leaves of various cover, wash them off and dry them, then press them in between the pages of a book and you’re ready to use them.

Take a look at the video above for some other ideas and tell us in the comment what your favorite element of autumn decor is in your home.
