I do love the Olympics. The pageantry. The competition. The Cinderella stories. The patriotic pride. And of course I’ll be humming John Williams’ brass-tastic Olympic Theme in my head for the next few weeks. Whether you like basketball, track & field, swimming or gymnastics, it’s hard not to get psyched up for Team USA.
Yes, the 2012 Olympic Games are finally upon us, and 530 athletes will represent Team USA in London with the opening ceremony on tap for tonight. While these skilled men and women compete overseas we wanted to take a look at just where theese athletes call home.
A whopping 128 athletes call California home, which is roughly a quarter of the entire U.S. Olympic team! In fact, 24 of the 26 U.S. water polo players hail from the Golden State. New York and Pennsylvania tie for silver, with both states sending 35 athletes, while Texas takes the bronze with 33 athletes.
In true Olympic spirit, Coldwell Banker Real Estate rounded up a few real estate listings to win the gold in the states home to the most U.S. Olympians:
California This Los Angeles, CA property includes an extraordinary pool large enough for the entire U.S. water polo team.
New York In Rye, NY, tennis players can perfect their forehand serve on this property’s vast tennis court.
Pennsylvania Slam dunks, alley-oops, jump shots, oh my! This property in Blue Bell, PA houses a finished basement area, headlined by an indoor basketball court.
Texas Volleyball players can serve, set and spike their way to gold on the sand volleyball court at this Krum, TX home.
